Idaho is About to Get Another Grocery Outlet
Kuna’s New Grocery Outlet Looks Close to Opening as Paul Bunyan Plaza Fills In
Kuna’s new Grocery Outlet is getting closer to opening. While other GO locations have been facing closures, the store in Kuna is part of a larger project that’s starting to take shape at one of its busiest growing intersections.
The store is going into Paul Bunyan Plaza, the development at the northwest corner of Deer Flat Road and Meridian Road. City of Kuna planning documents described the project as a 16,000 square foot grocery store in the Paul Bunyan Commercial Subdivision.
When Is Grocery Outlet Opening in Kuna?
I haven’t seen any clear indication of an exact opening date yet, but so far, all signs point to May 2026.
On the store’s official Kuna Grocery Outlet Facebook page, the business replied to a commenter saying the store expects to open toward the end of May. And the location posted about a hiring fair on April 9, 2026.
What Else Is Going Into Paul Bunyan Plaza?
Grocery Outlet is only one part of the larger Paul Bunyan Plaza development.
Current leasing materials for Paul Bunyan Plaza have listed other tenants like Mo’ Bettahs, Burger King, Frontier Credit Union, Pacific Dental Services, Circle K, Panera, and Take 5 Oil Change. Some of those businesses are already open, while others are still in development or moving through the build-out phase.
Which Businesses Are Already Open in the Complex?
One of the more popular openings so far has been Panera. The new Kuna location is listed at 1500 E. Deer Flat Road. Burger King also appears to be open.
Which Paul Bunyan Plaza Businesses Could Open Soon?
Pacific Dental looks like one of the next businesses expected to come online. A LoopNet investment listing for the Panera and Pacific Dental building says Panera opened in March and Pacific Dental is expected to open in June 2026. A sale flyer PDF says construction on the building is complete, and the tenants are finishing interior build-outs.
Take 5 Oil Change is also being listed as coming soon.
Mo’ Bettahs, Frontier Credit Union, and Circle K are also mentioned as part of the larger Paul Bunyan Plaza development. Expected opening days for those businesses have not yet been listed.
Kuna’s Deer Flat and Meridian Corner Is Changing Fast
With Panera already open, Grocery Outlet aiming for late May, and Pacific Dental expected in June, Paul Bunyan Plaza is starting to shift from something Kuna residents have watched being built into something they can actually use.
