You can't swing a grocery cart around right now without hitting a pile of Peeps, and rather than eat them plain or put them in hot chocolate, we're going to make Play Dough out of them this weekend.  Finally, Play Dough that makes sense to eat!  Here's how you do it.

As I was browsing the interweb this week I ran across the recipe for making Play Dough out of Peeps, and the first excited words out of my 6-year old's mouth were, "Can we eat it?!!"

What is it about Play Dough that makes everyone in the world want to lick it anyway?  It's kinda gross, right?  The smell is better than the taste, unless you like salty, rubbery, unidentifiable, clay-like substances.

This Play Dough may be a different story.  At least it will be sweet, sort of.

Here's what you'll need, according to SheKnows.com.

Peeps
Coconut oil (or other oil)
Cornstarch
Cream of tartar
Microwave-safe bowl

You basically put the Peeps and oil together and microwave it, then add the other ingredients and knead it together.  Click HERE for the official recipe.

Sounds like a great way to keep the kids entertained this weekend.  And even after Easter it will be a great way to use up all those leftover marshmallow bunnies that we don't really want, but buy anyway because they're everywhere and we feel like we're not officially great observers of the sweet part of the season until we own some of them.

If this is a miserable failure I'll be letting you know on Monday, and posting the disaster pics.  Have fun!
