Is It OK To Be Going Gray?
Last weekend, after I finished mowing my lawn, I took a shower and decided to just relax. This meant I didn't stop to spike my hair up, I just left it alone, and realized, it's happening.
I'm seeing gray hairs. Not just the random one or two that used to pop in like an unwelcome guest, but a decent amount that seem to be starting a community.
This isn't the first time I've had to embrace the encroachment of the dreaded gray. My goatee has offered sanctuary to a few hairs here and there for some time, but alas, the takeover seems to have moved north.
Here's what I saw staring at my "salt and pepper" look in the mirror. It's certainly starting to change, especially in the front. Ironically, the way I typically wear my hair, with a front spike, seems to disguise the color change.
I know for some, the idea of gray hair scares them, but I know it seems to work for George Clooney, Anderson Cooper, and others. So I'm not going to be scared of it. Though I feel a bit young for it, I guess it's where I'm headed. I think I'm alright with that.
