For all of the people who are newer to the Treasure Valley, buckle up.
It’s going to be a hot and bumpy ride.
You may not have realized, due to the unusually cold spring season that we had, but Boise is actually a desert.
A high desert, to be exact.
Idaho is technically on the upper edge of the Great Basin Desert, which spans a lot of Nevada and Utah, and it’s the largest desert in North America.
We’re lucky to live in an area that is graced with all four seasons, so many people don’t even realize this fact…
But it gets reeeeeeeal hot in the summertime, and it’s actually extremely dry with low humidity.
