Your heart always drops when you hear about any kind of recall especially when it involves your children. Usually, these recalls are announced with warnings that this, "could happen if you do this...".

Today's recall comes to the tune of 227,000 Rock 'n Glide Soothers from Fisher-Price. This sudden recall has already claimed the lives of four infants. This is serious.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) along with Fisher-Price have recalled the 4-in-1 Rock 'n Gider Soother. The infants were placed on their backs unrestrainted in the product and late found on their stomachs according to the report.

These types of incidents are heart-breaking. Loving parents put their babies in these products never expecting a tragedy. Inclined products, such as gliders, soothers, rockers and swings are not safe for infant sleep, due to the risk of suffocation.

That is Acting Chairman Robert Adler. The gliders were sold at mass manufacturers online that also include Walmart, Target and Amazon.com. Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa and the list goes on with those stores in their neighborhoods.

The press release says that users should immediately stop using these products and contact Fisher-Price directly for a refund. The products were sold from January 2014 through December 2020. You might have paid around $108 if that rings a bell.

The CPSC is also recalling the 2-in-1 Soothe 'n Play Gliders. No deaths have been announced regarding that glider at this time based on the press release.
