Getting an Ungodly Amount of Spam Calls Lately? Here’s How to Stop Them

It's happening more and more. A random phone call from a number you don't recognize. Luckily, there are a few ways you can fight back.

In the past week, I've received at least ten spam calls. Some my phone recognizes as spam, others come from local area codes and look legit, but are still a recording telling me about my credit card account. Why the sudden influx of robocalls? That we don't know, but thanks to The Verge, we've found some ways you can lessen the number of spam calls on your phone.

To sum it up, you've got a few options:

• Block each number as they come in
• Pay your carrier to block spam calls for you
• Use a third party app
• Add yourself to the national 'Do Not Call' list
