Well, this is breaking news, and did we expect anything different. In 2020 where most things have been postponed you always keep some hope alive for upcoming events.

I'm currently cutting video for a virtual WCA WeAreWomen event that is taking place this week. Go ahead and add the Festival of Trees to that virtual world.

this is the first time in the 37th history of Saint Alphonsus's annual event we've seen the online-only aspect. You shouldn't be surprised considering these people are on the front lines. They have to take safety precautions to the highest level so I applaud their efforts.

We're still hoping to capture the essence of the Christmas spirit or the holidays.

That's VP of philanthropy, Jill Aldape from Saint Alphonsus.

Saint Alphonsus posted this message earlier.

Saint Alphonsus has been on the frontline of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic caring for patients and guiding the community through these challenging times. As a leading healthcare organization, we are committed to doing everything in our power to ensure the safety and protest the health of those we serve. For these reasons, the Saint Alphonsus Foundation Board made the tough decision to modify the 2020 Festival of Trees from an in-person event to a virtual one.

I don't think they had many choices considering what their staffs are up against. Wouldn't necessarily look good to throw a mass event inviting 100's packed together. People want to get out and there is no doubt they would show up.

Saint Alphonsus is hosting a virtual Santa visit. You can sign-up to get a personal message from the big man! That's worth it by itself.

I'll post more below and I think the title speaks volumes, "2020: All About the Magic of the Season in a New Way."
