Broadway In Boise Postpones Hamilton, CATS and More Due to Pandemic
The hits to our normalcy continue to take a backseat as local events keep canceling or postponing. We just heard that Bogus Basin will not be hosting a Ski Swap this and that's a first in 70 years
I just wrote this week that Regal Cinemas is shutting down with no reopening date announced, if ever.
The Morrison Center just joined those ranks with their press release today announcing more postponed shows. If you're excited to see Hamilton, CATS, and Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, dates have been postponed.
Some of these shows like Hamilton which was originally going to run February 10-28 in 2021. That's not going to happen. Most of these shows will be pushed back to late Summer of 2021. Some of these shows are first-time performances which means they've never been to Boise. That makes it worse because Hamilton is one Broadway Show that almost everyone I know would have spent money to see. My son loves the opening song and we have to replay it over and over again.
We're going to just have to be patient and wait. These announcements are being made not knowing what 2021 has in store for Idaho or this pandemic.
Broadway in Boise was selected as one of the few areas to show a virtual three-part concert series. Live from the West Side: Women of Broadway that takes place on October 24, 2020. I'll post up links below for more information and full release from the Morrison Center.
