Nestled in the scenic landscape of Tamarack, The Reserve at Tamarack Resort is no longer a local’s secret. This uniquely Idaho dining experience has captured the tastebuds and now the accolades of skiers and foodies alike. It was just named the Best Ski Restaurant in North America by readers of USA TODAY’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards for 2023.

This recognition goes beyond the food. The atmosphere also plays a big part in why people love the Reserve. You don’t just pair your wine with great food; you pair boots and skis with culinary excellence.

Surrounded by the Village, the American cuisine and steakhouse staples make the Reserve feel like Idaho. Many menu items are clearly Idaho-inspired, focusing on local and regional ingredients.

The Reserve is named after Idaho’s International Dark Sky Reserve, allowing you to dine beneath the night’s natural light or beside a patio fireplace.

It’s great to see this property do so well after all of the starts and stops that make up its roughly 20-year history. After foreclosures and ownership changes, Tamarack Resort is now one of Idaho’s best. At over 3,500 acres, there is plenty to do in the winter and the summer. You can enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the winter and golf, mountain biking, ziplining, and watersports on Lake Cascade in the summer.

After receiving this award from USA TODAY, The Reserve at Tamarack Resort is now a must-visit destination for the skier with an elevated palate. From Boise, the drive to Tamarack Resort just outside Donelly is about two and a half hours.
