Get in Touch With Your Spidey-Sense

Existing outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sony's animated Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse was widely regarded as the best superhero movie of 2018.  You could attribute that to the fact that it was the only superhero movie that actually looked like the comic books that inspired its story line. Or maybe, just maybe, it was the story line itself.  Into the Spider-verse had a plot that was heartwarming and inspiring enough to teach a great lesson to its younger viewers and just dark and exhilarating enough to hold the interest of an older audience. Introducing Spider-people from across the multi-verse, it gives everyone a character they could identify with and departs from the Peter Parker origin story that we saw done twice already.  It's a well rounded masterpiece and you've got the chance to experience it like you never have before!

The City of Boise is showing it on their 30' screen at Ann Morrison Park as part of its "Movies Under the Stars" series on Saturday night! If you've never been to one of their screenings before, the fun starts with fun and games provided by the Parks and Rec Mobile Recreation Van at 7. They have vendors onsite if you want to grab something to munch on during the movie or your welcome to your own picnic. The movie starts around 9:45 p.m. We've got some special intel that, Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy and Miles Morales will probably be at this one to grab photos with Spider-man fans.::wink wink::

Take Yourself Out to the Ball Game

There's a lot happening at Hawks Stadium this weekend and it starts with the Fit For Life races on Saturday morning! Whether you pick the half marathon, 10K or 5K, you'll experience the only home plate finish in the Treasure Valley.  The race and awards are baseball themed.

Come back to the stadium later that night for the Hawks game against Salem-Keizer. First pitch is at 7:15 p.m and there's fireworks after the game!
