19-Yr-Old Girl Killed In Crash On Star Road Has Been Identified

On Friday afternoon the intersection of Star and Joplin roads became a tragic, deadly place for 19-year-old Maleeka Yancey of Middleton, Idaho who was involved in a fatal crash that has officially been ruled as an accident.

19 is way too young and I'd imagine her family and close friends are doing their best to get through each day where, for them, this world will never be the same without this beautiful young woman.

Reports from the Ada County Sheriff's Office say Yancey was headed eastbound on Joplin road when she and a pickup headed south on Star road collided for some reason.  KTVB reports that intersection is a two way stop which has no stop signs for those on Star road.  Ada County Coroner Dotti Owens stated the cause of death was blunt force trauma.
