My husband has already informed me that he will be busy during McDonald's first ever "Bacon Hour."

According to Delish, McDonald's has been preparing to add some permanent bacon offerings to their classic menu and they're about to arrive in the Treasure Valley.  Starting at the end of the month, the Big Mac Bacon, Quarter Pounder Bacon and Cheesy Bacon Fries will become part of the regular menu.

To celebrate their arrival, McDonald's restaurants will be hosting a "Bacon Hour" on Tuesday, January 29 from 4-5 p.m. When you swing to grab a late lunch or early dinner, you'll be able to add a few slices of Applewood smoked bacon to any item menu.  That's right ANY menu item.  The fast food chain previewed some of the wackier combinations like Bacon-Oreo McFlurry, Bacon Sundae, Bacon File-O-Fish and Bacon Apple Pie in a social media post spreading the word about the celebration.

Like I said, my husband is absolutely stoked for the occasion.  I, on the other hand, am a bit queasy. This could sound like blasphemy, but I'm not a HUGE bacon person.  If it has too much fat or is too soft, I can't stomach it. I actually picked all of it off another fast food restaurant's biscuit the other day because it was so flimsy and gross. To each their own!

If you think there's no such think as too much bacon, this is YOUR day. Enjoy!
