I've participated in the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure & FitOne (formally known as Women's Fitness Celebration) for the last five years for work, walked the course each year. But I kinda want to do a 5k on my own.

But since it would be on my own I want it to be as fun as possible! And since I would like to train for it, it will be a double win for me. Since I need to get in shape for my wedding. Yay :-)

So first there's Run Or Dye on June 28th. And I'd love to do this one but I don't think that's enough time to train. Oh and because it the same day as the BOISE MUSIC FESTIVAL! And there is no way I'm missing that.

Next there is The Dirty Dash on August 2nd, and technically not a 5k. It's a mud run obstacle course! Which sounds like a lot of fun & I've talked to a few coworkers of mine that have done it in the past. And I guess at the half way point you can even stop & chug a beer. And from what I've seen this is getting more & more popular, there's different waves starting at 8am all the way through 4pm. And there's plenty of time to get ready, but I don't know..

Finally my last option is The Color Run on August 23rd. Every year I've seen all these people walking away from the course laughing, smiling & covered in chalk. And all I want to do is go run through a color station & get doused in chalk. Down side I've already done the course, it's pretty much the same course as Race for the Cure Boise. But there's even more time to train then The Dirty Dash..

So I thinking I'm going to definitely do The Color Run! And maybe also do The Dirty Dash. But is that too much for one month? I've never ran one & I want to do two in one month. I'm feeling a little crazy & it's only April. But I guess I better get started on the hard work first... Getting in shape. I don't even know where to begin. Any suggestions?
