Goodness gracious, is it just me or does it feel like the minute you walk out the door in the morning..you feel like you slowly start to melt away. It has been soo hot these last few days, and NOW there is a way to cool down in downtown Boise.

Now that the temps are hovering out in the triple digits for the next few days staying cool is the most important thing for most Boise residents. A temporary cooling station is now set up in Downtown at the Boise Pioneer Community Center at 500 South Ash Street. Meant for families with children of the homeless the Temporary Cooling Station is stocked with TV's, Computers and games this is the perfect spot to take a break from the scoring heat.

The plan is to keep the station open at least until this Thursday from 1 to 5:30 P.M. If the the weather continues to hit the high temps talks of keeping the station open will continue. I love seeing our city reach out in such a compassionate way. Great work Boise. -JD
