This Treasure Valley spot is in the top ten in the nation for it's affordability.  In fact, the cost of living there is 5 percent under the national average.

Livability.com released the news this week that Nampa landed in the Top 10 US cities that can help paychecks stretch.  It's not just affordable, but offers fun things to do and that's why it landed high on the list.  It's the shopping, the wineries, skiing, hiking, and disc golf that attract people to Nampa, and the cheap housing and utility costs that make them put down roots there.

Nampa ranked #8 in the country, and here's why:

Sales tax rate: 6%
Cost of a T-bone steak: $8.50
Cost of a dozen eggs: $1.45
Cost of a pizza: $8.00
Cost of a haircut: $14.00

Round Rock, Texas is the most affordable city in the country, according to Livability.com. But we'll take Nampa!
