This is a great sign of what's to come in Boise. We've seen the events industry get completely shut down across the country. Virtual was the new concert in 2020. There might just be light at the end of that very dark tunnel.

The Morrison Center just announced the 2021-2022 season live shows. This is the rescheduled shows, times, and sales information for the next season. This means there will be a season and Hamilton will debut in Boise this Fall.

Broadway in Boise will begin the 2021 season with CATS in October and Hamilton for most of December. I was so excited about Hamilton's announcement last year and really wanted to take my wife and son. The coronavirus did a great job of eliminating any event and we got stuck with virtual life for the last year.

This is a sign that we could see things opening up with coronavirus numbers going down and vaccinations moving up.

Here's what the current list looks like for the Morrison Center Broadway shows for the 2020-2021 season.

2021 Season

  • CATS (Oct 29 - 31)
  • HAMILTON (Dec 8 - 26)

2022 Season

  • Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Jan 14 - 16)
  • Anastasia (Feb 25 - 27)
  • Dear Evan Hansen (June 21 - 26)

The Morrison Center made this statement in a press release earlier.

We are actively working to reopen in collaboration with Boise State University, the City of Boise, and the Central District Health Department. We will have a health and safety plan implemented in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines to welcome you back to the Morrison Center. We will be communicating our reopening plan in plenty of time prior to your first show. Rest assured, if we need to cancel any performance at any time for any reason – THE VALUE OF YOUR TICKET IS SAFE. You will have the option of a refund or credit.

Ticket sales details should be coming very soon as they facilitate members and subscribers.
