Kate McGwire’s REI Presentation

REI asked me to give a presentation on my 7 day backpacking trip on the Pacific Crest Trail. I am so excited to share all the details of my trip from photos, to challenges, mistakes I made and so much more!

Not only did I get to have the experience of a lifetime hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, but REI has asked me to give a presentation about being a first time backpacker! I'm not being paid. REI is not making any money. They just thought me being a beginner backpacker, I could offer some insight into what it took to get me on that trail. I'll be sharing all that it took to make this trip possible and stories from the 75 miles of total butt kicking and pure joy that I experienced.
