Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!! Too soon?! Yeah, I agree. I'm not done with summer just yet and I love fall time in Idaho. But when it is time to snow, apparently it's going to dump on us! That makes me happy. I dream of a white Christmas every year. And I love to play in my Idaho winter wonderland of a backyard. Skiing, sledding, snowshoeing....yes please to all of that!

The Old Farmer's Almanac predicts it will be super cold with a lot of snow for much of the country, even in places that don't usually see too much of it, like the Pacific Northwest. Look for above-normal snow and below-normal temperatures for much of New England; icy conditions in parts of the South; and frigid weather in the Midwest. The snowiest periods in the Pacific Northwest will be in mid-December, early to mid-January, and mid- to late February.
To me, this is great so I'm going to believe every word of it. Of course, most meteorologist generally discard this information for lack of scientific proof.

Whether it's true or not, we will be hitting the slopes! Tamarack just announced today that they're upgrading their snowmaking system. They will be putting in 1800 feet of new snowmaking pipe and five hydrant locations to bolster the snowmaking arsenal they already have.

If you're like me and need something to look forward to, this is a good start as I dream of a white Christmas!
