Nope! Pedestrians don't always have the right of way.

Surprised? We sort of were. Growing up, the rule was always to stop or yield for anyone crossing the street, even if they were jaywalking. Apparently, that rule never existed.

What we observed was common courtesy and consideration. And while that's great, we can remember several times where pedestrians took advantage of our parents good Samaritan ways.

From stepping off a curb far between intersections without so much as a glance up and causing a driver to slam on their breaks and get rear-ended, to refusing to wait for the crosswalk signal, we've witnessed pedestrians pull off all kinds of ridiculous stunts and get away with it.

Well, not in Idaho, y'all. Here in the Gem State, just like drivers are held to the letter of the law, so are pedestrians.
