This is one of the top trending news items on Facebook this week and I'm sure they are not too happy about it. And this probably affects you more than you know. It's cost my wife a few thousand dollars.  Here's what's been going on:

Did you realize that your Facebook account has a whole vault of unseen Facebook messages in your inbox that you didn’t even know existed?

I didn't even realize that there’s a “message request” box in your Facebook messenger inbox where you can either accept or deny messages from people who aren’t your friends? If you don't know what I'm describing Click here to see.

Facebook filters, (on it's own) picking which messages pop up in that request section. It's very similar to email except Facebook automatically and a little arbitrarily sifts out spam.

This means there are potentially a huge pile of unseen (and unanswered) messages that didn’t make the cut and that you never have seen.

My wife recently found out about this and as a realtor and Owner of Silverhawk Realty, she discovered a filtered message from someone who wanted to hire her as a realtor to sell her house and buy a new one. She never saw the message and for those who don't know realtors work on commission and this cost her probably in the neighborhood of three to eight thousand or more dollars.

So if you haven't checked this out yet, I urge you to do it, you may be missing some important messages that you didn't know about
