Pride month might be in June, but COVID-19 took that celebration away. I have so many photos over the years from the parades and park celebration that I'll never forget.

This year's event just had too many safety precautions and that made it too difficult. Pride's events were canceled like all the rest around the city. I know there have been articles that something was going to happen but I just received an email confirming Boise's 2020 Virtual Pride.

The 31st anniversary won't be held back by any pandemic. You might not be able to walk with friends downtown holding signs, lining the streets with family or standing on a float during the parade. However, you will be able to witness a Virtual Pride experience that will feature some amazing music artists, comedians, drag artists from Rupaul's Drag Race, and our local favorites.

2020 Virtual Pride Boise will be hosted by Arlo Weierhauser with some amazing artists just announced.

  • Alex Newell (Glee, Zoe's Extraordinary Playlist
  • Mary Lambert (Grammy Nominated Artist)
  • Heather Small
  • Ariana and the Rose
  • Be Steadwell
  • and more.

This event will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 beginning at 4 p.m. You can visit more from Boisepridefest.org
