Back in high school, Boise local Ryan DeLuca created BodyBuilding.com, the nutritional supplement distributor website that grew into a half-billion dollar industry.

After resigning last year to focus on traveling, DeLuca is back in the game, but this time with a new idea: virtual-reality gyms.

This gym isn't your mom's at home DVD workout! DeLuca, who named his company BlackBox VR, aims to sell virtual-reality headsets to individuals who want to leap, pull and navigate through a virtual world designed as a workout.
While users could use this technology at home down the line, DeLuca envisons creating beta gyms catering to the wealthy in New York and Los Angeles where they can work out Indiana Jones style.
He hopes to develop a workout experience within six months and open the first beta gym within a year.
While BlackBox VR workouts may not be coming to Boise anytime soon, there are currently two outdoor workout stations in Boise parks, where locals can workout for free anytime of the year courtsy of BodyBuilding.com! You can read about these park gyms HERE:
