Jen Austin

Jen Austin is the host of the afternoon drive show on Mix 106, from 2 to 7pm every weekday. After a brief stint on Mix 106 in 2009, she's back in the Treasure Valley, entertaining listeners with interesting tidbits about fitness and exercise, relationships, and workplace experiences, and all the latest celebrity and pop culture news as Mix listeners wind down their day. Jen was born and raised in the rural town of Elwood, Nebraska. She went to college at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, and that's where Jen got her start in radio at country station KZKX. Jen continued in country radio at KASE in Austin, TX before moving to work at a network of stations that sent her shows to markets including Lubbock, Amarillo, Corpus Christi and Tyler, TX; as well as Jackson, MS, Lawton, OK, Baton Rouge, LA and more.

Boise State Football Happens on Friday Night This Week

What do you think about these Friday night games?

Last Friday night's game agreed with the Broncos.  They beat Fresno State 37-27.  Tomorrow night Boise State plays BYU at home at 7pm.  Which means you're working a half day and tailgating your little Bronco butt off, right?  Awesome.

Good Things Come From Sibling Fights

I've got one sister and we're friends now, but we sure fought growing up.  I remember my mom saying one time as she was almost in tears, "You girls are going to give me a nervous breakdown!" That shut us right up.  Until the next day when my sister hid my favorite Barbie doll in the freezer and then it was on.

McDonalds Has Plans To Bring Back The McRib

So...Just when you set your taste buds on a McRib, McDonalds drops it from the menu.  I know, I know.  It's not easy to be a fan of the McRib. It's kinda like that non-committal boyfriend.  Once you really make up your mind to get serious and fall in love, it's gone.

The McRib has been an off-and-on offering at McDonalds for years, and its last appearance was in 2011.  And fans of that boneless pork sandwich will be happy to know it's coming back at "most McDonalds restaurants."
