Thousands and thousands of people have waited multiple hours waiting for their number to be called at the Ada County driver's license office. While it's easy to blame the workers for not moving fast enough, they have have had to deal with technical issues and the huge influx of people who are moving to the Boise area.

That's why it's tremendous to announce thanks to new funding coming in the Ada County commissioners approved more clerks being added to the current location on Benjamin Street and also a second office to speed up the process according to KTVB.

The second location is looking like it will be located in western Ada County around 8,500 to 9,000 square feet so it can hold nearly 150 people in their waiting area.

For so many people including myself this news is very exciting. I never in my life wanted to know that the waiting time at a drivers license office doesn't go past 99 minutes, it just says 99+. Trust me, it is not what you want to see while waiting for your number to be called.

Please remember this funding won't be available until October, then it will take another six to twelve months to open the facility. It may take time, but it's great news that a second facility is on the way.
