The pumpkin spice lattes are out, so we know the actual pumpkins are not far behind. The Treasure Valley will have plenty of great pumpkin patches up and running this fall, and we've got the first look.

The Farmstead will be big again this year, and as Nicole Hanks tells us, it's been named on Tripping.com’s list of the 7 Best Corn Mazes in the U.S. to Visit This Fall.  And you can vote for The Farmstead in the Reader’s Choice Travel Award contest for the 10 Best Corn Mazes by USA TODAY and the 10 Best List.  The Farmstead opens this Friday the 23rd, and will be open through October 29th. The corn maze is a giant picture of Jimmy Fallon this year!  At the pumpkin patch, they'll sell the pumpkins for 37 cents a pound.  And they'll have hay rides and corn stalks, and Indian corn.  All of that and a pumpkin spice latte in hand makes for a good fall day.

Linder Farms will have pumpkins waiting in a couple of weeks too.  They're planning a Zombie Acres corn maze, and a Halloween Fun Run, in addition to the pumpkins.  Opening day is this Friday, September 23rd, for Linder Farms, and they'll be open evenings during the week and all day Saturday through the end of October.  They're closed on Halloween.

MSN.com says visiting a pumpkin patch is one of those things that every family should do during the fall, and the Treasure Valley will have plenty of them. Making a trip to the patch is all about the experience, and it's a whole lot more fun than picking up a pumpkin the grocery store.  It's a Facebook moment waiting to happen.

Once it's carved, the average pumpkin only lasts only about seven days, so you might want to wait on that part.  But if you're into painting and displaying, the perfect opportunities are not far away.
