A once in a lifetime experience just a few hours away from Boise.

The lack of snowfall had caused the ski resorts to rely on snow-making machines due to the lack of a snow base.

This past month, Boise was plummeted with just over 14 inches of snow.

Bogus Basin and Brundage Mountain are allowing early access for some skiers and snowboarders this week and over the holiday weekend.

Idaho already getting SNOW and it's only August.
