Shouldn't every day be Veteran's Day?

If it's a Meal Ready to Eat (MRE) for the troops, it can't spoil, and it has to have a shelf life of two or three years. The average slice of pizza has trouble living up to those standards, but finally, the Army has found a way to make it happen.

As we spend today thanking and honoring our active and retired military, I had to share this super sweet story I came across. Check out this story from KTVB about a dad, who is also a Major in the Army, left a kiss every night for his son while deployed HERE...

A slice of pizza can last for three years! And if you're in the US Army that's not a bad thing.

The US Army might not be known for it's awesome culinary creations, but at the very least they'd like to make the food better for the troops.  And if you're willing to eat MREs (Meals, Ready-to-Eat) for three solid weeks, you can help make that happen.

Peyton Manning took the time to track down a military member to thank him for his service recently.  And he went out of his way to do it.  This is a cool story!
