Nampa residents are waking up this morning to late alarm clocks, blinking lights on the oven and microwaves because of a massive power outage. Over 1150 residents do not have power as of 7 a.m. this morning. Crews are actively working to restore the power, which they say will hopefully be back up and running before 10 a.m. This happened as a result of an early morning accident of a truck hitting a power pole. The driver was not hurt but was cited for inattentive driving. We are hearing that traffic is backed up from Middleton Road down to Smith and West Kiplin Roads. If you can avoid this area that would be the best.
