Surprise! I am excited about places to get my drink on. More importantly, I am excited for something new to open in town so I can get in from the jump and become a local patron. And honestly it is a small miracle for a business to be opening during the global pandemic that has shut down long standing institutions, let alone new businesses.

Ochos Wine Bar is set to open next weekend, September 11th, 2020. Covid-19 is a life ruiner, their indoor seating and dance floor will remain closed. But they are offering limited patio season and can be booked for special events.

Head to their website (ochosboise.com) to reserve your seats on one of the terraces in their multilevel patio. Sold in groups of two or four at $75 per person, your private dining experience includes two glasses of sparkling rose', two additional drinks per person, two types of popcorn, a charcuterie board, and dessert. Not to mention, except for that of course I am, vegan options are available!!! You can book a reservation for 9/11 or 9/12.

Curious about your beverage options? Your server can let you know about their rotating drafts, but their cocktail variety deserves a look. I am all about tequila these days, so the Nameless Midnight  looks right up my alley. Reposado tequila, Slo Gin, Yellow Chartreusse, and bitters make up this fancy little drink. If I want to get a deep buzz for my buck, I will opt for Luck in the Chamber. Bourbon and rum in the same drink? Sign me up!

Cocktails aren't your vibe? They don't have "wine bar" in the name for nothing. They carry a variety of wines on tap to fill your glass with a good time. Sip on Alberti Malbec while enjoying the company of your partner or a few close friends. Heck, reserve a spot for yourself and enjoy some "me time" with a glass of Lunatic Red Blend.

So if you're looking for a good time this weekend and are tired of going to your same old haunts, check this place out. Open air, privacy, and there's music from 6:30-9pm! I'm placing my reservation now.
