A news release today from the office of the governor in Idaho announced plans to assist the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency in transporting dangerous illegal alien criminals out of Idaho.

The decision has been applauded by the secretary of the US Department of Homeland Security, but it's possible that not everyone is on board with the decision to include ISP in the process.

The 'Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Act' of Idaho followed the executive order of President Trump in January of 2025 to declare a national emergency and protect the American people against invasion and secure the Southern border.

Are Idaho Police Helping ICE to Deport Dangerous Illegal Alien Criminals?

Idaho is one of many states that has been greatly impacted by an influx of drugs trafficked across the border. Announced in the news release are plans to allow Idaho state Police to use up to $300,000 to carry out up to 100 transports of illegal aliens criminals to authorized detention facilities in Jefferson County or out of the state.

The transports will take the illegal alien criminals to detention facilities where they will be processed for deportation.

ICE can delegate certain immigration officer functions to local law enforcement and can allow Idaho officers to identify and process removable, dangerous, and violent criminals out of local jails.
