Have You Been Robbed by the Cutest Thieves in Idaho?
We all know it is illegal, but theft happens every day. Odds are you have committed theft at some point in your life. Everyone has. Perhaps you were young and took a pencil from your friend or teacher and never gave it back. If you ever took a toy or something from a friend or sibling, you stole. We have all had that time when we check out and something didn't get rung up at the store, and we were too lazy to take it back, or perhaps you didn't notice it. It is a part of life. Not all theft is created equal, though. Lately, the cutest thieves in Idaho have been stealing, and you may have had them hit your home already without realizing it.
The Cutest Thieves in Idaho
Have you had any fruits or vegetables go missing from your yard or garden recently? Perhaps some small items have disappeared from your home? If the answer is yes, you likely got a visit from some adorable thieves. While some find them cute, others will say they are ugly, annoying rodents with bushy tails, but squirrels are some of the worst thieves this time of year. They are looking for food and for things to keep them warm as the temperatures drop, and they know no boundaries or limits when it comes to stealing. That fruit tree or plant in your garden you have been working on, likely has been hit by them at least once. If you have some padding, a blanket, or soft material outside, they may have torn and taken some with them.
Fruit Trees and Gardens Destroyed in Idaho
For months, many spend hours on their gardens, their fruit trees, and their yards, hoping to get some fresh food, only to come up short of the desired amount. Some trees are picked entirely, some lose half their product, and others lose only a portion. Squirrels help themselves to whatever they see and feel like, and your hard work is their gain, especially in the fall. Now is the time to pick many of these foods, and if you aren't fast enough, the squirrels will do it for you, and unfortunately, they don't share. I had an apple tree with 12 apples on it this year, the first time it has produced, and the squirrels have eaten all 12 apples, leaving me with none to enjoy.

They might be cute, entertaining, and fun to watch, but they are also annoying, jerks, and thieves. If you are disappointed with your lack of fruit and vegetables to pick from your trees and plants, you have the cutest thieves in Idaho to thank for it.
