How is the Grinch Meal at McDonald’s in Idaho?
Trying new food is always exciting. You don't know exactly what you are going to get, and whether your world is about to change for the better or worse. We have all tried foods that we regretted ever eating, and we have all had foods that we questioned, but are glad that we took the chance and enjoyed eating. Whenever places introduce a new food item or combo, it can be exciting to see what the hype is about. McDonald's recently released a new meal, and some are asking if it's good and worth it, or if it's overrated. Here is my review on what to expect if you haven't tried it yet.
The McDonald's Grinch Meal
On Tuesday, December 2, McDonald's officially introduced the Grinch Meal. It's a unique combo with the choice between a Big Mac or 10-piece McNuggets, as well as fries, a drink, a pair of socks, and dill pickle salt. The socks and the pickle salt are what have everyone talking and asking if this is only a promotion or something that is worth trying. The socks are a nice addition that many are hoping to collect, while the pickle salt is the item that everyone is trying and giving their opinion on. I recently tried the Grinch Meal and learned a few things, and I have some advice for customers who haven't had the meal yet.
Is the Grinch Meal at McDonald's Good?
You can never go wrong with a Bic Mac or McNuggets. Choosing between those two is easy, and choosing a drink is as well. Getting socks from a fast food chain is different, but the socks are nice and fit most people. As seen in the picture above, everything looks normal except the combo has a white fry shaker bag and a green packet of dill pickle salt. You are supposed to pour the fries into the bag, sprinkle salt on them, and then shake the bag. The key is to sprinkle. I made the mistake of pouring the entire packet in, and while the first two bites were good, the pickle flavor became overpowering the rest of the way. By sprinkling and spreading out the salt, it will help even out the flavor, and the fries will be much better. I also recommend sprinkling some on your Big Mac, if you get one, to add some flavor and help spread the salt elsewhere.

Overall, the Grinch Meal is a nice addition to the McDonald's holiday menu and is worth getting. So long as you don't overpower your fries with pickle salt, you should have an enjoyable eating experience. Stop by your nearest McDonald's and try this new meal.
