The Best Thing to Do on a Summer Day in Idaho
Summer is perhaps the best time of the year in Idaho. Residents and tourists can get out and hike, camp, kayak, fish, and swim without worrying about getting too cold. It is a great time to explore and enjoy all the beauty that Idaho has to offer. Going for a drive is a great way to spend a day, going for a boat ride, or going for a bike ride. There are many fun things to do in the Gem State this time of year, but what is the best thing to do in Idaho during the summer?
The Best Summer Activity in Idaho
Idaho is home to many hidden gems to discover that are beautiful and incredible, but one of the best hidden gems anywhere has to be Blue Heart Springs. Located on the Snake River, you have to use a boat or a kayak to reach this Hawaii-like area. With clear blue water that is constantly 58 degrees, this is a must-visit for all Idahoans and tourists. For inexperienced kayakers or those who don't know how to find the infamous Blue Heart, one of the best ways to get there and to spend a summer afternoon is to spend a few hours renting a boat from Banbury Adventures.
Banbury Adventure Boat Tours in Southern Idaho
There are multiple types of rentals you can do at Banbury Adventures, but if you want to have the best family day on the water, do a pontoon boat tour. This two-hour tour will take you down the Snake River, where you can experience Blue Heart Springs. You can enjoy the beauty while relaxing on the boat, or take a dip and cool off in the chilly water. The tour will continue downriver to Ritter Island, which is one of the most beautiful areas on the Snake River, where you can also get out and walk around the area and cool off on a hot day. The pontoon is big enough to hold a family, so you can relax on the boat for a few hours and enjoy some fun and memories. It is $50 for adults and $35 for children 12 and under. There are 5 tours a day at 8 AM, 10:30 AM, 1 PM, 3:30 PM, and 6 PM Monday through Friday, and 8 AM and 6 PM on Saturdays.

If you are someone who doesn't own a boat and enjoys spending time on one, this is a great way to do it. Explore two of the most beautiful areas that you will find in Idaho, and enjoy an afternoon exploring, swimming, or even fishing. You can also book tours to go fishing for a few hours, rent kayaks, paddle boards, or take a dip in the Banbury Hot Springs.
