Two Boise Area Bars To Hold Idaho Vandal Watch Parties This Week
There is a completely iconic moment in television sitcom history from an all time great, "The Office", that very much describes the landscape of Idaho these days. Perhaps you will remember it--when Michael Scott, played by Steve Carrell, enters the room as exclaims the "the turn tables".
In case you need a refresher on this--we'll place it below:
It's fair to say that "the turn tables" here in Idaho as of late, especially surrounding football.
In what was one of the most awkward and memorable moments of The Office, so too are we feeling that in the Treasure Valley. Typically painted up and down with blue and orange here in the Treasure Valley--it seems the "energy" behind Boise State football just isn't what it once was.
Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that the football team is 0-2 for the first time since 2005? That second loss, by the way, took place at home on the blue. Yikes!
Up north? People are cheering and there's black and gold to be seen for miles as the mighty Idaho Vandals have kicked their season off with a strong 2-0 record, including one win over a much larger Mountain West program, the University of Nevada.
If you're a Vandal fan or a bandwagon Vandal fan in the Treasure Valley--these days, it's easy to fly the colors! This weekend, two local bars are hosting watch parties for their matchup against Cal.
In Boise, Vandal Fans can catch the game at Parilla Grill and in Meridian, Vandal Fans can watch the game at 127 Saloon.
Loving both the Vandals and the Broncos is certainly possible--but it's time we all acknowledge that for far too long, the Vandals have been robbed of their shine. This year feels different!
