12 Idaho Snowplow Names And Winners Revealed

It's almost winter here in Boise and what can we expect this year... Snow! When talking about weather in Boise there's one common theme and that the weather here changes fast and is super unpredictable! We've gone from 80 degrees in May to waking up with snow on the ground! This winter we can't wait to see what the weather will be like and we are hoping that this will be the best winter yet!

While this could be an easy winter for Boise but there is certainly a surprise around every corner and you never know there could winter storm is a surprise that most people weren't expecting. Even though last Boise winter was relatively easy that just means it can all be making a comeback this year.

Luckily, we have snow plows in the area to help remove all of the snow.

A fun new way to bring the snowplows to Idaho was started by the Idaho Transportation Department. This is the second year now that they hold a contest to name the snowplows that you see in Idaho.

All across Idahos between 6th and 12th grade they chose names for these snowplows this winter and anonymous Idaho Transportation Department employees selected 12 winners.

ACHD also picks a winner to name a snowplow every year. Last year the name for the snowplow was Ashton Jeanty which is honestly awesome. This year the selected winner is Taylor Drift.
