Downtown Boise Prepares for ‘Real Halloween’ Nightlife Crowds

It is one of the most wonderful times of the year--and it's tough to look anywhere and not see the festive spirit in the air!

Halloween is here!

More affectionately known as 'Spooky Season', the season of Halloween brings spider webs, pumpkins, flannel, and funny fall memes to our lives and gradually builds up to, what is for adults, one of the biggest party nights of the year.

So, what about downtown Boise? Will the streets be alive for Halloween?

That short answer is: Yes--many local bars will be going all out for Halloween and there's plenty of time for you to make plans to join the fun.

There was a little confusion online as over the past weekend, most bars held massive Halloween bar crawls and costume contests. If you were brave enough to hit the bars on Saturday night, odds are you saw long lines and a bit of 'amateur night' out there. Hallow-weekend, as it's known, did take place then.

Tonight will be the last of downtown Boise's Halloween nightlife celebrations and the charge is being led by Boise icon, Rocci Johnson.

Rocci will be on stage with the Rocci Johnson Band starting at 10:00 p.m. at Humpin' Hannah's. There will also be cash prizes for the best costumes, bar games, door prizes and more!
