Meridian Restaurant Plans Big Rally After Kitchen Fire, Closure

The community is being called to action to support local workers who have been out of work--and need a helping hand.

You may remember that just weeks ago, we shared the news that the popular Meridian bar and restaurant experienced a seriously damaging kitchen fire.

Now, that very restaurant, who is working to rebuild, wants to 'rally' for the team that has given so much work to them.

The Curb has long been a staple in Meridian and the fact that they have had to close down due to this fire has impacted more than just customers that want to get back in there.

The restaurant posted the news about this 'Rally' on their Facebook page:

The Curb Bar & Grill has been through a devastating fire, and while we’re working toward reopening stronger than ever… there’s a group of people who need our community right now: the incredible staff behind The CURB  .Come grab some food, enter a raffle, bid on an auction item, hang out with your favorite Curb people, and most importantly, help support the staff who have taken care of our community for years.  Every dollar raised will go toward supporting The Curb’s staff while we’re closed for repairs and waiting to get back to work.

It's pretty amazing that local ownership, amidst all of the challenges going on right now, is willing to throw this together to assist the staff that is impacted by having no work at the moment.

We applaud leadership at The Curb for their amazing effort!

Of course, the rally is going to need community support for it to be a success.
