It's March in Boise and we have been hoping for Spring however it doesn't seem like Mother Nature was thinking the same way. Overall, this Boise winter has not been nearly as bad as some of the winters we have seen before. There wasn't as much snow and we definitely saw a lot more of the sun than we are used to.

Considering we are almost halfway through March we definitely thought that winter is long gone and we could start thinking about what parks to go to or patios to eat lunch at but we may have gotten too excited a little too soon.

According to the Farmer's Almanac, these are some mostly non-weather signs that Boise could be in for a harsh winter. Have you noticed any of them happening?

A contribution to a local weather watching FaceBook group indicated that there would be a lot of snowfall heading to Boise between March 9th to March 24th. Weather Models supplied an image of all the snow that could be hitting the Treasure Valley in a late season winter storm.

While this could have been an easy winter for Boise there is certainly a surprise around every corner and this winter storm is a surprise that most people weren't expecting. Even though this Boise winter has been relatively easy that just means that the more snow the later in the season the less we can still say that.
