It was election day in Boise this week, and if you haven't caught up on the news, the good people of Boise have spoken.

By voting to keep Boise Mayor Lauren McLean in office for a second term on Tuesday night. The Democratic mayor received over 55% of all ballots cast.

Meaning, for the next four years, McLean is once again in charge of taking care of all of Boise's citizens, as well as some of our wants and needs. It's not an easy job, but when you run for mayor, this is what you sign up for.

Now that Mayor McLean is back in her office getting to work, we'd like to lay out a few things we as Boisians would like to see in our fair city now that the election is over:

  • More hot dog stands on sidewalks. Waiting in line for a weiner for 20 minutes on a Saturday night just isn't acceptable.
  • Fix the traffic. Not sure how to do it, but that's your problem. Too many people driving here.
  • Help for the homeless, displaced animals, and folks who don't have enough to eat.
  • Free Wi-Fi for everyone? Is that a thing a mayor can do? That'd be nice.

Mayor McLean, we're wishing you the best of luck in office. Regardless of who did or did not vote for you, we do want to you achieve success. May you lead Boise and all her wonderful people to a prosperous, safe, and fulfilling future.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in Idaho politics:

Was 'The R Word' Really Necessary For This Idaho Senator?

While referencing Vice President Kamala Harris & presumably the Biden Administration, Lenney said that they had gone 'full retard'. The internet quickly reacted.
