Many Californians have decided to relocate to Idaho recently, and we completely get it. Beautiful scenery, friendly neighbors, and endless amounts of things to do. Idaho is great! We can't fault anyone for wanting to live here.

Some folks, however, don't see it that way. They want Idaho to "be how it used to be," or "get back to Idaho roots," whatever that means. Like it or not, Idaho (just like literally every other place on Earth) is evolving, but that doesn't mean we still aren't doing our Idaho thang out here.

No matter what anyone says about Idaho or California, there's one category that we will reign supreme in for years to come. Don't believe us? We brought receipts.

In 2021, California produced approximately 11,900,000 potatoes. That's a lot of potatoes sure to feed a lot of people. Until you discover what Idaho did with their potatoes in 2021.

Last year, Idaho produced over 128,000,000 potatoes. Yes, that's over ten times the amount that California grew.
