October is easily one of the best months to live in the Treasure Valley. An argument could be made that December is best with all of the Christmas lights but Halloween in Idaho is something else.

Are you brave enough to enter the haunted houses of Idaho?

There's a good chance if you go to a "real" haunted house - you know, paranormal activity and everything - that you won't encounter anything scary. If anything, you'll be more afraid of your own shadow or the sounds of critters in the area.

If you want a real scare, you have to check out the "fun" haunted houses of Idaho. The haunted houses are only around this time of year and require a ton of work to put together.

Take Haunted World for example - it's one of the largest Halloween attractions in America sitting on a whopping 35 acres. Can you imagine how much work and how many hours go into something like that?

And that's just Haunted World, there's a ton of work in any haunted house that you'll visit this season. Still - that's not enough for everyone.

Not All Scares Are Created Equal

It's unfortunate but true - not every haunted house can be Haunted World or Requiem Haunted House.

We sifted through some of the best of the worst reviews we could find on haunted houses in the Treasure Valley. It's safe to say that not everyone can be scared so easily with some even mocking the efforts of haunted house workers and ghouls.
