It wasn't long ago when we discussed entering the 100 deadliest days in Boise and now Boise police have provided an update that should have you thinking twice before getting behind the wheel.

Why is it so dangerous out?

There are a variety of reasons that the 100 deadliest days are between Memorial Day and Labor as a lot is happening: holidays, school is out for the summer, etc.

The first two things we mentioned are a huge contributing factor as people love to party and kids (especially young drivers) are out of school for the summer, exploring the Treasure Valley for things to do.

While it might not play a huge role, some even believe sitting in traffic on a hot day can contribute to other incidents like road rage or impatient driving - both of which can have dangerous or fatal consequences.

Boise police shared their report and are reminding people to "slow down, pay attention and avoid anything that can impact your chances of going home at the end of the day."

Let's take a look at the numbers... do you think there is a bigger problem at play here?
