After several days in the triple digits where I was drenched in sweat just walking to my car after work, I have to admit I'm ready for it.

And by "it," I mean cooler fall weather, the changing of leaves and the one time of the year where it's socially acceptable to order anything and everything pumpkin spice flavor. Looking at the forecast, we're not quite there yet but if the current patterns hold we're at least looking at a cooler weekend (Sunday's high is 79) and temperatures pretty consistently in the 80s within the next week and a half.

The one sign of fall's approach I did notice over the last couple of days...the fact that it's dark when I go to work in the morning and when I go to bed again! I normally leave my apartment around 5:30 a.m. and during the month of July, I got to see at least a little sunlight as I got into the car.  As for when I'm going back to sleep? I mentioned just mentioned to my husband last week "I don't like this whole, it's dark when I go to sleep now thing."

So just how fast are we losing daylight in the Treasure Valley? By a rate of about 2:28 minutes a day according to timeandate.com. It's crazy to see just how quickly that adds up! Take a look at how quickly things change over the next few weeks!
