It has been a tough week for the Boise Police Department as three of their own suffered bullet wounds while searching for a fugitive in the Boise bench area.

One officer and a police dog have been released from medical centers, however another officer, Cpl. Kevin Holtry, remains hospitalized and per comments from the Chief of Boise Police, has months of recovery ahead.

Chief of Police, William L. Bones, has expressed that letter of support or get well cards are welcomed, as it can sometimes be intimidating in a hospital room with bare walls.  He hopes to decorate the injured officers hospital room with well wishes.

Cards and letters can be dropped off at the Boise Police Department (333 N. Mark Stall Pl) or if you contact them, they can arrange for an officer to come pick up any cards from you.
