A Solution to Crowded Downtown Boise Parking
If you've been Downtown recently, you've probably noticed it's getting harder (and more expensive) to park. This is especially true if you work Downtown. Now, a new solution has been launched.
The city of Boise is creating a park-and-ride concept, leasing 60 parking spots in a parking lot owned by Boise State University on Elder Street (across from Applebees near BOI).
BSU buses will shuttle riders between the parking lot and the Main Street Station in the morning and afternoon. If will be free to use the service which will operate between 6am and 9am morning,s and 4pm and 7pm afternoons. Buses will run every 20 minutes.
This arrangement is the result of Boise State University, the City of Boise, and Capital City Development Corporation working together. Final details on the agreement are being worked out, and they hope to begin service June 12th.
