A New Boise Tech School Opens in January
Jobs in the high-tech sector are in huge demand right now, and a national technology training company is opening a campus in downtown Boise in January to help you get ready. They say you can become a software developer in just 14 weeks!
The national technology training company, Coding Dojo, is expanding to Boise and will open a campus at Trailhead in January.
The company said one of its main reasons for expanding to Boise is that we're one of the most innovative cities in America for tech companies, and with more of those tech companies looking to set up shop here, Coding Dojo wants to help recruit and train the best and brightest tech talent. Coding Dojo supported Boise Startup Week in the past with workshops and more. They love us.
Regarding the new training program, Coding Dojo has a fast track, 14-week boot camp course to train you up in a hurry, and they offer an apprenticeship program that would mean six months of paid work experience when you graduate.
Boise Weekly said Idaho has 6,000 unfilled STEM jobs, and 1,500 of those are computing jobs. The new Coding Dojo training center wants to fill those seats, perhaps at one of more than 150 tech startups in Boise.

And, guess what! There's an info session scheduled for tonight, December 19th, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm so you can slide right in and grab everything you need to know to get started. There are two other sessions happening next month, on January 9th, and January 16th.
