The Idaho Humane Society is making preparations to receive up to 40 dogs and puppies that will be arriving this week from the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control shelter thanks to Wings of Rescue.

The animals are scheduled to arrive on February 15th.  The Idaho Humane Society will then be documenting the transfer of the animals.

All the dogs transferred in will have to go through routine medical care. Many of the dogs have not been spayed or neutered and will be undergoing procedures shortly after they arrive. So the dogs won’t be available for adoption for approximate four or five days.

The Wings of Rescue flight will also take an Aussie named Rigby, who is deaf and partially blind to the Coeur d'Alene area for transfer to a partner organization, called Double J Dog Ranch.

You might remember this dog ranch from a couple years ago when one of their dogs was the first blind dog to take part in Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl during the Super Bowl
