This week's motivation to start your week off better is going to be a tough change to make, if you're like me. But do this before you do anything else and you're day will go better!

Stop hitting snooze. Or at least don't snooze on Mondays. As the week goes on it might be tougher to not get at least 9 minutes of extra sleep. When you hit snooze, you disrupt your sleep cycles and you end up sleepier than if you had gotten up in the first place. So Monday morning when the alarm goes off, just get up.

The hardest part about the morning for me is physically getting out of bed. But once I'm up and moving I feel good. If you snooze for 2 or 3 cycles, just set your alarm for 18 or 27 minutes later to get solid sleep and then get up when the alarm goes off. Try it at least one day a week, you will notice a difference. And make that day, Monday. You will feel more awake and fresh on the day most of us struggle.

Update: I've been following my own advice and getting up on Mondays and getting ready. No baseball caps on Monday. I wash my hair and style it. I put on makeup. I pick out an outfit I feel good in and I have to say, it really does help me start off my week with a positive attitude!
