My son, Cooper, is into all things truck and train related right now. Yesterday, I did a post on our family's favorite holiday books and it's no surprise that The Polar Express made the list. Reading the book and watching the movie got me thinking about how cool it would be if we could actually ride the Polar Express... and then I found this.

Located 5.5 hours from Boise, the Nevada Northern Railroad Museum in Ely, Nevada has a Polar Express train that you and your kids can ride to the North Pole this holiday season! Staying true to the book, passengers on the train will meet Santa's helpers - including the elves, sing along to Christmas carols, and get cocoa and cookies. PJs are also encouraged!

Reservations for The Polar Express are strongly suggested as these rides often sell out. Get your tickets HERE!

Not feeling up to the drive? There are still tickets available for a viewing of The Polar Express movie, complete with hot cocoa and Santa photo a little closer to home, at the Historic Nampa Train Depot on Sunday, December 10.
