A photographer posted pictures of his trip to Washington DC on Facebook and people are talking. One photo shows kids treating a famous memorial like a jungle gym.

Vietnam Women's Memorial

Photographer, Matthew Munson, captured this photo on a recent trip to Washington DC. These are two girls climbing all over the Vietnam Women's Memorial which honors women who served during the US war with Vietnam from 1955-1975.
I'm going to assume the three adults looking on are not related to these girls. The look of disgust on their face gives that away.
I was shocked when I saw this on MSN.com. Who lets their kids climb on a memorial like it's a piece of playground equipment? That is so disrespectful. I think this applies everywhere, not just in the nation's capitol. Memorials and statues are not to be climbed on. They are a way to honor someone or some piece of history.

What do you think? Is it "no big deal?" Or is this completely disrespectful?
